♡1. Ivan And Aira

Aira's POV~

"Aira, I heard you resigned?" A female voice reached my ears.
As I turned back to face her, Sanya stood there, her expression subtle with a hint of curiosity.

Vanya, my colleague and my only friend.
We met on my first day here, she held as my manager back then. Fast forward to today, and here we stand as good friends.

"Yes" I nodded, her face expression saddened a bit as she settled beside me.
"Why is that so?" Her curiosity piqued, she led out a question I couldn't answer.
"Pata nhi kyu, accha nhi lagta is sheher me mujhe" I answered, my fingers swiftly typing on the laptop.

"It's okay Aira" She whispered, her voice filled with empathy.
"What are you planning ahead?"
She asked, causing me shiver as the realization dawned on me that I haven't told dad about my resignation.
"Italy" My voice, barely above a whisper.

The corners of her lips tugged into a smile as she muttered
"That's what I expected from you" Vanya walked away and I stayed there, focused on applying for jobs.
I have applied for even more than 15 tech companies and the thought of moving to Italy is enticing to me.
Italy.

Mom and dad got divorced when I was 18.
Mom stayed in Italy and I came here with dad.
It's been 4 years since I last saw her or talked with her, dad never allowed me to.
He avoids talking about her altogether, changing the subject whenever I bring her up.

I craved for my mom but dad didn't care.
His haunting words echo through my mind, leaving me with unanswered questions "Your mom left us, she won't come back"

The thought of moving to Italy, enlightens a hope within me that I will find her and uncover the answers to all my lingering questions.
Amidst the shadows of doubts, deep down, I believe she could never abandon me.

Gathering my belongings, I stepped out of the office.
Inhaling deeply, I accelerated my car towards the house.

Walking in, I ascended the stairs of the big mansion, owned by my dad.
The interiors cascaded a cold ambiance, creating a stifling unease for me.

Reaching out towards my room, I walked towards the balcony, the only part of the house I found solace in.
The cold breeze gently caressed my body, easing away the tension.

"Aira, have your food" Dad's voice distracted me and I reluctantly followed him towards the dining table.
"Dad, I need to talk about something" I whispered as we settled ourselves on the dining table.
Before I could continue, Inaya interjected, cutting my words off in between "Talk after the dinner" her voice firm.

"Dad, please it--" I tried to complete it but dad didn't listen.
"Didn't you listen to what Inaya said?" His voice, firm and commanding, made me go all silent.
The realization that Inaya held a more important place in my dad's heart than I did, shatters my heart.

Dad and Inaya got up, finishing their food.
I was the last to stand.
My steps faltered as I trailed behind them, trying to initiate a conversation, Inaya's voice cut through air "Aira please, do not say something that causes a drama again"
My heart sank at her dismissive comment.

Summoning my courage, I retorted "Stop it Inaya! This is between me and my dad, Stay out of it"
My expression hardened as her voice rose sharply "Your dad is my husband and you are my daughter"
I was never her daughter! She never treated me like one.

My trembling voice pierced through the air as I yelled "No, No! I am not your daughter, don't try to own me"
I approached dad, my voice tinged with urgency as I hesitated before speaking
"Dad, I want to move to Italy"

Ivan's POV~

"I waited for you for 4 freaking years"
My voice quivered with longing and a tender smile graced my lips I gazed at the laptop screen.

Every single night, I relive those moments with her in my embrace, close to me.
The moments were my safe haven, that embraced me with solace.

In the end, 4 years, will be worth a while, trusting it completely, I held onto my promises.
"You are mine" My voice, a mere whisper.

My thoughts came to an abrupt halt as my PA's words pierced through my mind "Sir, this is the plan for the next venture"
Realization dawned on me as I acknowledged the fact that I failed to pay attention while he detailed the entire venture plan.

With a cold expression and menacing gaze, I fixed my gaze upon him watching him as his quivering voice broke the silence "Sorry sir, I'll do better"
My eyes locked onto him as I witnessed his figure slowly fading into the distance as he walked away.

With a sigh, I leaned back in my chair, my mind drifting back to my earlier contemplations.
Distracting me from my work!

Heading out to the conference room for the scheduled meeting, I setteld myself on the chair, my anticipation palpable as the meeting commenced.
My punctuality was always a defining trait: I hated being late.

As the meeting came to a close, the employees walked out, leaving me seated in the room.
A female employee entered, approaching me as she extended a file towards me.

Her hand lightly touched mine, igniting a fiery rage within me that fueled further as a mischievous smile crept on her face.

In a sudden moment, I rose to my feet and firmly gripped her throat that nearly choked the life out of her.
My grip strong enough to make her wince in pain.
As I forcefully slammed her against the wall, a sharp gasp escaped her lips and blood trickled down her forehead.

As I reached for my gun, tapping her forehead with the cold metal, I whispered with a tightened grip
"If you even dared touching me again, I'll make sure you get the message loud and clear with a bullet through your forehead"

Her face contorted with fear as the words escaped my lips.
She flinched as I removed the metal from her forehead, the gunshot ringing close to her leg almost making her surge with fear.
"Got it?" I whispered with a cold voice, making her tremble.

As I released her throat with a forceful push, her trembling voice, filled with remorse reached my ears
"I- am..So..sorry"

I gazed at her as she collapsed, her hands desperately grasping her throat, fighting for air.
My expression remained icy as I watched her struggle.
A cold smile crept my lips and without a word, I walked out.
